The Buzz for Dori is expanding and Amelia and Adam find themselves in Maui for a conference, when they release that although there are the ones who invented Dori, there are some out there trying to rip off their idea. At the same time, Patty and Lisa are in Hawaii for Patty's sister's wedding. Although Patty's happy for Shandi and Chad, she cant get him out of her head, and the fact that he's seriously leading her on isn't helping one bit.




The Beautiful Code was cool, as with the other two, the story goes by very quickly. The characters are quirky and fun, and i love them all for different reasons. I like where the story's going, and its more suspenseful then one would expect. I haven't read many books about businesses, but these novels are really fun. I wish I was as crazy talented as Amelia is!


The only thing I didn't like is that often in the book, something suspenseful would happen, then it would go to a new chapter and switch points of view, and then when it would switch back, the conflict would be resolved (for the most part) and I felt that it lost the "omg what is happening/what are they going to do" factor that i love so much. 


None the less i still enjoy the episodes, and the story fast paced, and its easy to hang on to every word.

It's Anna's sixteenth summer and she is ready for a change! out with the lazy summers of working at her parents ice cream shop and swimming in the ocean with her two best friends Caroline and Sam. or now more appropriately CarolineandSam, because since they started dating they seem to be joined at the hip, a change that Anna's not so sure how she feels about. Anna's ready for something new and different. When Anna meets Will, a tourist from New york, she falls for him fast. Hes perfect, and wonderful, and they spend the summer in a blissful romance. Anna cant stop the lurking thought in her mind that in just a  few months will will be leaving her, back to new york and the busy world that Anna has only seen in her dreams. And she cant stop wondering whether one summer is worth the heart break.

Sixteenth Summer was super cute. Sweet as the ice cream that Anna is constantly around, and the perfect book to read directly after I read the bloodbath that was the last chapter of The Tower of Parlen Min. I read this on my laptop during the 2 day drive from Marco Island to Chicago and with sixteenth summer, the time went by fast. I smiled from ear to ear the whole time. It was great beach read and I'm glad that i read it. :)

You know that feeling where you need a cheesy romance novel, this one is perfect. It's simple and happy and supper girly. It's everything you'd think a book called Sixteenth Summer would be like, but with witty dialogue, great characters, and a cute little tourist town setting. I only gave it a three because this book probably isn't for everyone. I was in the mood for a sappy romance and this one was perfect for it. but this isn't the type of book I read a lot of the time, still great though! :)

Lauren has, well, everything. At least that's what other people think. She has a popular best friend, decent grades, and the boyfriend every girl would kill for. Dave is popular, nice, smart, and caring. plays sports, actually listens when Lauren speaks, doesn't push her, is religious, has the perfect family and is completely in love with her. Everything should be perfect right? 

It takes the arrival of an old time friend Evan Kirkland, to bring Lauren out of her fantasy world. She realises how unhappy she is with Dave. Hes perfect, he loves Lauren. The only thing is, Laurens not so sure she loves him back. But staying with him is the right thing to do. That's what everyone else would do. She cant leave Dave, then she would be as bad as her mother leaving her father. The last person Lauren wants to be like is be like her mother. 

She trys to suppress her feelings for Evan. She trys to do whats right, but Dave has all these plans for the future, plans that no matter how hard Lauren trys, she can't see herself in. Meanwhile, her time with Evan has become a sacred time where she can be herself, all of her, not the perfect version of Lauren that Dave sees. The more shes with Evan the harder she falls. Now she just has to make a choice, before someone else makes it for her.

Lets start off with saying I love Elizabeth Scott. Well I like her at least, considering that I have never met her before... But I read Stealing heaven, and You, Maybe a few years ago and loved them. There's just something about her writing. Its elegant, light, happy and all ways has a good ending, with the exception of A Living Dead Girl, that is.

Bloom was what I expected it to be, Wich Isn't either a good or a bad thing. There are some deep problems lauren is facing, but its not too depressing, which is good. And the romance is great, But it's just not the best book I've ever read.  One thing I did realy like though was the fact that Evan used to live with Lauren when she was a child. That part was kind of cool and I think the book would be too forced if Lauren and Evan haden't known even before.

Again, Im not saying you shouldn't read it, no way. There are definatly people out there who would absolutly love this book. Its just not my style. but I definatly sugest checking it out. :)
